Shift+Tab — auto-accept edits mode
Cycles Claude Code's permission mode, including toggling auto-accept edits mode on and off without going through /permissions.
By default, Claude shows you each file edit before applying it. Auto-accept mode skips that per-edit confirmation, letting Claude move through a multi-file change without stopping after every single one. Shift+Tab is the quick way to flip it on or off mid-session.
It's genuinely useful for a well-scoped, mechanical change you already understand and trust — a rename across a dozen files, a consistent refactor. It's the wrong mode for exploratory work where you actually want to see each step before it's applied.
Turning it off again is the same shortcut — it's a toggle, not a one-way door.
